Are you installing from the "Tools", "Add-ons", "Install" menu path in
Thunderbird? I can't see how you would get a Firefox error message if
you're installing in Thunderbird. As stated before, you need to save the
file. Then go through the Thunderbird Tools menu tree to the install
Add-ons dialogue, navigate to the *.xpi file in the install Window and
install from there. Remember, you need to install the generic Web mail
extension first, then restart Thunderbird before installing the specific
extension for your web mail service.
