Further to this, I switched my Yahoo to "Classic". On the Classic web page, the word "Classic" appears under mail in the Yahoo banner top left of the page. You can switch to the new mail through the "Options" link. There is a link to "All new Yahoo mail, try it now" or similar wording, click on this to switch to the new or beta site.
