When I tried logging in through the msnbc URL, I didn't get to the 
Hotmail page anyway. In any case what's to prevent MSN showing a splash 
screen at that URL. An error message that directs users to their service 
provider's web site may well be a better way of dealing with a change to 
log in, at least it would give the user a chance to see and dismiss any 
splash screen before assuming that there was a problem their end.
