Finally fixed myself.

IF you have Eset (NOD32) then you need to add Thunderbird.exe to the
"POP3 > Email Clients List" and be sure to add this with read/write
privileges, uncheck the box that says read only when adding the file.

I had done this previously but a recent update of Eset had turned this
off THANK ALOT ESET!
