Found the solution. Changed the port to 1026 - IN BOTH PLACES!!! Got to change it in the Webmail "add-ons" screen AND the Tbird "account" settings page. Both places have to be changed to the same port #.
Once I did this - and restarted Tbird my Hotmail is now receiving.
