Thunderbird > Tools > Error Console.

Remember that IMAP in the Webmail extension will *only* work for a
WebDav enabled account. Unless this second Hotmail account is very
old and will work with Outlook Express as an http account then it is
not WebDav enabled (it will never be and you can stop banging your
head against a brick wall).

If you want an IMAP experience with any Hotmail account it will be
available if you will accept the use of the Windows Live Mail client
rather than Thunderbird.

I am fairly sure that, fairly soon after Hotmail completes the current
rollout of its free POP/SMTP server availability for Hotmail, it will
execute the long promised demise of WebDav. Sadly, at that point all
WebDav functions in the Thunderbird Webmail extensions including IMAP
support will terminate.
