What settings have I not posted. There are currently 3 OS's Sabayon 4.1,
Mandriva 2009.1, and Kubuntu 9.04. All are ext4 fs, x86_64 with KDE
4.2.2. Obviously Firewall settings are different for each. However GMail
works fine. Yahoo mail can receive mail in all but will not send mail in
any. There is a LAN with a router. Not sure why that should make any
difference as the problem is specific to SENDING e-mail with yahoo.com
ONLY over 3 distros. Obviously mail can be sent through 3 different
firewalls and through the router with gmail. Only yahoo.com doesn't send
though it did as of about 2 2-1/2 weeks ago. Sorry if I sound like
ranting. Don't mean to be. Am puzzled as to what settings I haven't
posted in earlier posts?

In all yahoo.com account is set thus on SMTP:

Description: [email protected]
Server Name: localhost
Port: 1054
User Name: [email protected]
Secure Connection: None

Firewall settings in Mandriva Control Center:

enabled: Domain Name Server
                Mail Server
                POP and IMAP Server
                Bit Torrent

And yes in all distros smtp port is set to 1054 and is running. All
above info is copied and pasted in Mandriva partition for accuracy and
simplicity. Will endeavor to problem solve here as I am more familiar
with cli in Mandriva vs. Sabayon [rookie] or Kubuntu [haven't used for a
few years]. Unless of course you would prefer otherwise. For instance I
should get up to speed in Kubuntu rather quickly.

Thanks,
Dwight Paige
