In the begining I have the same problem.
The good settings to resolve this are listed here:
1. Get in yahoo email website and login with your data. Be sure you
are in New Yahoo Email not Classic. Log off.
2. Go in Addon Thunderbide at yahoo-addon and click at POP section
BETA option.
3. Restart thunderbite
4.Now you can login succsesfuly
