are you using yahoo pay account? because i think those settings are for pay account, for free accounts have to use the webmail yahoo plug in default settings and all new yahoo in web and the beta website setting in de add on. some OS have to change the default port to a higher number (pop 110 example change 1110, smtp 125 ex change 1125, imap 143 ex change 1143) those works for me! and remember to set in account settings to the same port. hope this work for you!
