WebMail General Negative Vibes Help Tips Most problems (negative vibes) are caused by the particular service making a change in their web interface. Sometimes, all that is needed to resolve the matter is to use your browser to login to the particular service. You may find that they have added a questionaire or poll before accessing the mail. Merely answer whatever (inane) question they are asking so the login proceeds as normal. Log out using the web browser and then restart Thunderbird again and see if that resolved the matter.
In all cases, check that you are running the latest versions of the Add-ons. Check for Updates. Before posting your help message, see if others have had similar issues and read those posts. Go to the Files section and see if the WebMail Author has posted a beta version of a fix. Beta versions will have a later verison number than the one you have installed and will include a bxx at the end where the bxx refers to which beta version. If there is such a file, try installing that to see if it resolves your issue. As with all Thunderbird Add-Ons, download/extract the file to the location of your choice (it downloads as a ZIP file). Then using the Install Function for Add-ons, navigate to the .xpi file and complete the installation. Restart Thunderbird. If your issue still isn't resolved and you need to post a message for help, include the following: Thunderbird version, WebMail version, Relevant Service client version, Error Console Message(s). Please note all the steps you took to resolve the matter. The first question you are going to be asked is what does the Error Console say if you didn't include it. The Error Console is a function of Thunderbird. To access it, on the Thunderbird menus, click on Tools > Error Console. Errors will be the ones with the red circle preceding. Copy/paste the relevant error messages in your reply. Please note, only one error message can be copied into Clipboard at a time so you will have to repeat the Copy/paste for each error. You maybe asked to submit Log files. Please wait until asked to do so. Logging for all the various WebMail clients is a function available in the main WebMail add-on. To access it, on the Thunderbird menus, click on Tools > Add-ons, Select WebMail > Options. Select the Logging tab at the top and enable the Logging checkbox. Please note the location of the resulting log files, the default is a pretty long path name. You can change the location if you wish. To complete, you must restart Thunderbird. Also note, the resulting log files will contain usernames and passwords. You would be wise to do a Find/Replace on those to change them to a generic username and password before submitting. Your patience is greatly appreciated. --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Thunderbird Webmail Extension" group.
