Hello all. I posted about a month ago that I was having problems with the maildotcom plugin. Even with all of the helpful suggestions from various people on the board, I was not able to get a working configuration to get mail into thuderbird again.
So here's what I have tried so far: Mail.com plugin. AOL plugin. Instructions posted on this forum on how to use pop3 with AOL. Instructions posted on this forum on how to use imap with AOL. Instructions posted on this forum on how to use imap with AOL and the AOL plugin (for some reason imap has a cross next to the mindless.com domain in the plugin?). I know I am on the new Mail.com interface (because the plugin stopped working at the same time as the new interface was rolled out). I am reasonably sure my account is not on the AOL system. because when trying to sign into the AOL wemail page I get a credentials error (and thats using the details I'm using on the mail.com webmail page). I have two accounts with mail.com, one ending in "mindless.com" and the other ending in "email.com". I cannot get either to work with any of the above listed methods, and the maildotcom plugin gives me a "negative vibes" message. I'll be happy just to get the mindless.com one working for now. I hope that someone will be able to assist me in getting a workable configuration for thunderbird/maildotcom. Many thanks to all in advance.
