I had initially installed webmail and the yahoo extension as root. When I went to set this up in my regular user account I wasn't even able to start the pop or smtp servers. I found a useful document in the forums and it instructed to changes ports to above 1024. I made those changes, rebooted, and pop and smtp servers started and low and behold I was also able to send emails from my yahoo account now..
