You need to right click on the link and "save as". You can then install
the downloaded file in Thunderbird, not Firefox. This error occurs
because both Thunderbird and Firefox use the same "xpi" extension for
add on installers. When Firefox sees a link to an xpi file it
automatically tries to install it itself unless you specifically tell it
to save the file.

Hi,
I'm trying to set up a new computer. So I've got recent versions of
TB and Firefox. Now I'm trying to add Webmail, and when I click on
Download and let it install, I get a message that says that Webmail
1.3.5 is not compatible with Firefox 3.5.7.
Is there any more info about this? Been trying to look at the FAQs
and the documentation and through at least the first couple pages of
forum posts, but haven't found anything about this.
Thanks
Marc
