I tried umteen zillion things to get webmail to work with yahoo. Here is the solution I found and it works. Log on to your yahoo mail account view your browser. Once inside yahoo mail switch to their new version. There is a switch, in the upper right hand corner I think.
Once that is done the instructions that are given by the webmail author is essentially correct. It seems that the old version of yahoo mail is the one causing the problem.
