Let me just confirm that this account change does have the benefit of
providing pure POP/SMTP connectivity for standard US based Yahoo
accounts.

I confess that due to the greater benefits on the SMTP side I am using
it (I can send embedded images).  Because I want the benefits of being
able to access more than just the Inbox on the POP side I continue to
use the Webmail Yahoo add-on to receive mail and I thank the Webmail
Author for this wonderful service.
