MSW,

you are coming across as a paying customer demanding satisfaction
right now.

May I ask you to consider that Hotmail does not roll out its changes
to everyone at the same time. I have login problems with one account,
my main account it still working without problems. The Webmail Author
may well be personally in the same position as my main account and not
able to see the problems you are.

You do not need to teach the Webmail Author about how the add-on works
- all of the issues are connected to the change of screens by the
Hotmail service and the Webmail Author has faced the same issues time
and again in the past.

You have the opportunity to simply use the free POP3 servers if this
is a real inconvenience to you. This is the kind of disruption you
signed up for when you decided to use this kind of service. It ill
becomes any of us freeloaders to carp about the speediness of recovery
when the service is provided so willingly at no cost in terms of money
or effort to any of us.
