Maybe I am doing something terribly wrong ... but ... with these both
of these versions of the Webmail and Hotmail add-ons installed I just
sent 5 simple messages to every Hotmail account I own (7 of them, but
a couple are pure POP3 connections) and then opened the mail.

Every account using the Webmail add-ons downloaded all 5 new
messages. In the one account where all new messages are to be deleted
once downloaded every message was deleted from the server (MSW I hope
that answers your concern - I know it needs to be fixed though I
cannot see why it would be a critical issue).

However, I acknowledge that this is an issue given the propensity of
the recent development versions of the Hotmail add-on to periodically
cause Thunderbird to file a "null" popstate.dat file for the Hotmail
account that later causes a complete re-download of the Hotmail Inbox
- as reported by a number of users in this forum.

I did make sure that all of my accounts (which all appear to have been
converted) are set to open to the Inbox in the account options before
this test.

So this combination of the add-ons is working for my accounts - I
cannot make them fail at present.

Webmail Author - if any logs can be of assistance please let me know.
