Recently a bug broke the current use of XPCOM registrations as part of
the Gecko 2 platform on comm-central nightlies (i.e. Thunderbird
3.next, Thunderbird 3.2 will also be based off 1.9.2 it seems) -- see
Bug 568691 (https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=568691). The
update for the XPCOM components can be applied and compatible for both
Thunderbird 3.1/3.2 and Thunderbird 3.next.

The necessary changes are outlined on MDC:
https://developer.mozilla.org/en/XPCOM/XPCOM_changes_in_Gecko_2.0

Now I understand that comm-central is most likely not supported, and
generally I don't mind having to work around a bit of things to use
comm-central, but being unable to check my mail in my e-mail client is
difficult. :) Anyway, I full understand if you're unwilling to support
this, but I thought I'd ask about it.

Thanks for all the work you've put into this,
Patrick
