I got the same problem. I didn't receive emails for days. Until i checked my inbox at hotmail website. I was full of unread emails. I disabled the setting 'download unread only' and the shockwave of emails came in ;-) Only 10 minutes after that it came in for the second time and so on until i enabled the setting again. Then everything stopped. But still the same problem. No new unread emails after that.
Did you already pinpoint the problem? Or a workaround beside disable and enable again? Ohh, I'm using thunderbird 3.1.2, webmail.addon 1.3.8 and hotmail.addon 1.2.28 and vista64.
