I had the same problem last weekend. After looking at the log files
I've found the problem and the solution.

Go to this url:
https://my.screenname.aol.com/_cqr/login/login.psp?sitedomain=sns.webmail.aol.com&lang=en&seamless=novl&offerId=newmail-en-us-v2&authLev=0&siteState=ver%3A4|rt%3ASTANDARD|at%3ASNS|ld%3Awebmail.aol.com|uv%3AAOL|lc%3Aen-us|mt%3AAOL|snt%3AScreenName|sid%3Adeef541a-c377-46f1-b3cf-3b9ddc8156e0&locale=us

Login to your webmail account with your mail.com address and password.
On the next screen, you will see some captcha code you have to type.
After doing this, you will see your mailbox and the webmail extention
will work again. I guess it's some security measure from aol.com. I
had to do this only once.
