Found a solution to my own problem...if I set the account to not keep
the mail on the server in thunderbird preferences then it deletes as it
goes.  Saves me a step of needing to log into the website each time (or
switch windows in this case).  I can move them back to inbox (in large
batches) after I am done or just let them poof from delete. :)  Would be
nice if it downloaded all the unread messages at once but this is
certainly a better method.
