Guys, at least for me, all is OK now: 1) in relation with this thread http://groups.google.com/group/thunderbird-webmail-extension/browse_thread/thread/757ee00c6be3a88a - I have updated to webmail-gmail 0.6.6b20 - I have deleted all mails with empty body (even if they had attachments) - in "mail settings", tab General, I have selected the option "Conversation view off" In my case, I have put a rule in Thunderbird, to move the message automatically to sent folder, if the sender is myself. >From gmail sent folder, I moved everything to Inbox. Over the past years, I kept trying to get everything from gmail sent folder into the thunderbird sent folder (got varying results and alot of duplications. never the full OK) So today, after the tedious work of manually reviewing in gmail UI which messages I had already downloaded, I have deleted them by hand. And as a miracle, the remaining ones started pouring in thunderbird (I have auto-download every hour). So I deleted them by hand also. In the end, I got everything in Thunderbird sent folder (and an empty sent folder in gmail UI. this may not be what everyone wants, but it can be the "unblocker" of the issue) :-)
2) On-topic, I made a test to write to a google group where I am member >From browser or from thunderbird, that message does not arrive in google inbox but arrives to the group page. Also, both messages are in the Gmail sent folder. By moving manually from sent to Inbox, both downloaded OK to thunderbird. 3) Point 2) happened with a gmail address which is member of that Group. With a different email address, the message arrived to the Google inbox, np. Also it arrived ok in thunderbird.
