FWIW, after I last posted that the new version worked with two of my 
Yahoo accounts but not the principal one, I tried switching that one to 
using POP -- as expected, no success.  I then switched it back to 
WebMail and, this time it worked.  I can only guess that something in 
the settings got hosed and switching it back and forth cleared up the 
problem.
