Could it be that Thunderbird is now looking for the extension files in the wrong place? You could try uninstalling then reinstalling the extensions.

Also When I go into T-Bird/ Add-ons/ and click on the WebMail Options
button the window freezes. Same with WebMail - Yahoo.

                 WebMail 1.3.12
      WebMail -Yahoo 1.4.7
