I have been using Webmail and the Webmail-Hotmail extension to access my
Hotmail account in the past. I too experienced the problems that others
have mentioned with all domains being deleted from the Webmail-Hotmail ext.
However, I have changed the server settings for the Hotmail account under
TB15 from localhost to use the following POP parameters:

Incoming server: pop3.live.com, Port 995, SSL/TLS

With this I have been able to receive messages.

For outgoing messages I added an outgoing SMTP server and successfully
sent messages:

Outgoing server:smtp.live.com, Port 587, STARTTLS username: [email protected]

I have made a similar change with my Yahoo account many months/years ago
and no longer use Webmail for Yahoo and just access it through TB as a
normal POP account.

Hotmail/MS and Yahoo may change their servers in the future to stop this
but at the moment users may find it useful as a workaround (solution)
without having to use any extensions/add-ons.
