A man was leaving a cafe when he noticed an unusual funeral. ชายคนหนึ่งเดินออกจากร้านกาแฟ เมื่อสังเกตุเห็นขบวนศพที่น่าแปลก. A funeral coffin was followed by a second one. หีบศพโรงแรก ติดตามด้วยโรงที่สอง. Behind the second coffin was a solitary man walking with a black dog. หลังโรงศพที่สอง มีชายคนหนึ่งเดินตามมาพร้อมสุนัขดำ. Behind him was a queue of 200men walking in single line. ต่อจากชายที่โดดเดี่ยวเป็นแถวยาวด้วยชายอีก ๒๐๐ คน ที่ต่อแถวอย่างเป็นระเบียบ. The man couldn't stand his curiosity. ชายที่ออกมาจากร้านกาแฟรู้สึกแปลกใจมาก จนทนไม่ได้... He approached the man walking with the dog, เขาจึงเดินเข้าไปหาชายที่เดินมากับสุนัขดำ "I am so sorry to disturb you, ขอโทษครับ ที่รบกวน but I've never seen a funeral like this with so many of you walking in single line.” *คือผมไม่เคยเห็นแห่ศพ ที่มีคนร่วมงานมากขนาดนี้มาก่อน มิหนำซ้ำยังเดินเรียงหนึ่งมาด้วย* "Whose funeral is it?" อืม นี่เป็นงานศพใครหรือครับ? The man replied, "that first coffin is for my wife." ชายผู้นั้นตอบ “โรงศพโรงแรก คือ ภรรยาผมเอง” "What happened to her?" “เกิดอะไรขึ้นกับเธอ หรือครับ?” "My dog attacked and killed her." “เธอถูกสุนัขของผมกัดตาย” "Well, who is in the second coffin? " “อ้อ, งั้นโรงศพที่สองล่ะครับ ?” "My mother-in-law. She was trying to help my wife when the dog attacked and killed her also." “แม่ยายครับ, เธอพยายามเข้าไปช่วยภรรยาผม เลยถูกสุนัขตัวนี้กัดตายด้วย” A thoughtful moment of silence passes between the two men. บุรุษทั้งคู่ต่างเงียบไปชั่วขณะ.
