Changes (by mark_story):

  * summary: Invalid sequence of helper callbacks => Helper callbacks
              should be inside the rendering buffers
  * type:  Bug => Enhancement
  * version:  RC3 =>
  * milestone:  1.2.x.x =>

Comment:

 The sequence is correct. beforeRender() is called before and after
 ''every'' _render() call. This includes the layout, all elements and the
 view file. If anything, moving the before and after callbacks inside the
 output buffers like rafaelbandeira3 proposed is more correct. As that is
 the root of your problem.
