      Status: new | Priority: Very Low
   Milestone: 1.2.x.x | Component: Error Handling
     Version:  RC3             |      Severity:  Trivial
    Keywords:                  |   Php_version:  PHP 4 >= 4.3.2

 The [http://book.cakephp.org/view/154/Error-Handling 4.3 Error Handling
 chapter of the Cookbook] suggests to extend the ErrorHandler class to
 create new error-types handler (AppError class). The provided example code
 calls the ErrorHandler::_ _outputMessage() method:
 {{{
 function cannotWriteFile($params) {
   $this->controller->set('file', $params['file']);
   $this->__outputMessage('cannot_write_file');
 }
 }}}
 This violates OOP paradigm because private methods can't be called by
 subclasses.

 The ErrorHandler::_ _outputMessage() should be changed to protected.
