#5832: allowEmpty => false Should add 'required' class in form helper ----------------------------------------------------+----------------------- Reporter: _thief_ | Type: Bug Status: new | Priority: Low Milestone: 1.2.x.x | Component: Helpers Version: RC2 | Severity: Normal Keywords: form helper, allowEmpty, validation | Php_version: n/a Cake_version: 1.2.0.7692 RC3 | ----------------------------------------------------+----------------------- As it stands the form helper adds the required class if you specify 'required' => true but not if 'allowEmpty' => false. [[BR]][[BR]]
As I see it, if a form is being posted and allowEmpty is set to false in the validation rules, it is required that a value be inserted in the form field. [[BR]][[BR]] Therefore I feel the form helper should add the required class when allowEmpty => false as well as when required => true. [[BR]][[BR]] I am using the nightly build.
