Comment (by jaydipdave):

 when i fetch a timestamp field, the output should be formatted like 'YYYY-
 MM-DD HH24:MI:SS'.

 {{{
 SELECT Clientuser.lastlogin FROM clientuser;
 }}}

 above statement fetches it in default format (something like: DD-MMM-YYYY
 HH:MI:SS0000 AM/PM).

 ok, we are using "ALTER SESSION SET NLS_DATE_FORMAT='YYYY-MM-DD
 HH24:MI:SS'" query to change the default format of DATE type field.

 but what about TIMESTAMP field?

 shouldn't we use: "ALTER SESSION SET NLS_TIMESTAMP_FORMAT='YYYY-MM-DD
 HH24:MI:SS'" query?

 what do you think Nate?
