#5904: Cannot load EmailComponent from within MyComponent and send an email

{{{
MyController <-> MyComponent <-> EmailComponent
}}}
I cannot load EmailComponent from within MyComponent and send an email
with it without doing the following in MyComponent's startup method:
{{{
function startup(&$controller){
$this->Email->startup($controller);
}
}}}
otherwise I get the following error when trying to send an email:
{{{
Undefined property: EmailComponent::$Controller
[CORE/cake/libs/controller/components/email.php, line 352]
}}}
It seems the only (functional) reason for this is to import the
controller's default settings for which View class it is using. If this
dependency on the controller is taken out, developers would be able to
avoid running the startup() method manually. I'd suggest taking out this
dependency.
Thoughts?
