It's not a bug, it's by design. And it's a design that works properly &

You are not constructing your conditions properly. There is a section in
the cookbook that describes how to construct complex find conditions:
http://book.cakephp.org/view/73/Retrieving-Your-Data#Complex-Find-
Conditions-74 (near the bottom).
