And also other fields with default set.
like:
$data = array(
'id' => 1,
'email' => '[email protected]'
);
$this->User->create($data);
$this->User->save(null, false);
the firstname and lastname in the users table will got reset to default.
the default is ''::character varying
This happens on PostgreSql 8.2 not for version 7
