--------------------------+-------------------------------------------------
    Reporter:  wangbo     |          Type:  Bug
      Status:  new        |      Priority:  Medium
   Milestone:  1.2.x.x    |     Component:  General
     Version: 1.2 Final | Severity: Normal
    Keywords:             |   Php_version:  n/a
Cake_version:             |
--------------------------+-------------------------------------------------
 in the model.php core file:

 {{{
                                                 $isUUID = (
                                                         ($fInfo['type']
 === 'string' && $fInfo['length'] === 36) ||
                                                         ($fInfo['type']
 === 'binary' && $fInfo['length'] === 16)
                                                 );
 }}}

 I set field: id binary(16), but CAKEPHP don't generate a valid binary(16)
 UUID.
