#6222: HABTM tables not included in FROM clause when $fields used on Model->find ---------------------------+------------------------------------------------ Reporter: cuppett | Owner: Type: Bug | Status: closed Priority: High | Milestone: 1.2.x.x Component: Model | Version: 1.2 Final Severity: Major | Resolution: invalid Keywords: | Php_version: PHP 5 Cake_version: 1.2.2.8120 | ---------------------------+------------------------------------------------ Changes (by AD7six):
* status: new => closed * resolution: => invalid Comment: Assuming you have User habtm Editor, what you are doing is not expected to work - the fields specified apply to the primary find only, which habtm and hasMany results are not a part of. To restrict the fields returned from your HABTM-ed model, you'd modify the association definition with bindModel, or use [http://book.cakephp.org/view/474/Containable the containable behavior].[[BR]] Since the query for related data is dependent on the results of the first query (which, if it generates an error, is going to have 0 results) there won't be any subsequent queries. -- Ticket URL: <https://trac.cakephp.org/ticket/6222#comment:3> CakePHP : The Rapid Development Framework for PHP <https://trac.cakephp.org/> Cake is a rapid development framework for PHP which uses commonly known design patterns like ActiveRecord, Association Data Mapping, Front Controller and MVC.
