#4280: Caching should allow for excluding specified elements from cache ------------------------------+--------------------------------------------- Reporter: galileo | Owner: Type: Enhancement | Status: new Priority: Very Low | Milestone: 1.3.x.x Component: Cache | Version: Severity: Trivial | Resolution: Keywords: cache element | Php_version: n/a Cake_version: | ------------------------------+--------------------------------------------- Comment (by giulianob):
I think what he wants is to only cache sections of a page, but still execute some action to get the data for the non-cached parts. Right now, you can use cake:nocache to prevent a login box to show for a login user, for example, but you can't make the non-cached area fetch some data. I do think agree that some of the Cake caching features are lacking but this would be a pretty radical change since Caching implies that no data will be fetched. -- Ticket URL: <https://trac.cakephp.org/ticket/4280#comment:6> CakePHP : The Rapid Development Framework for PHP <https://trac.cakephp.org/> Cake is a rapid development framework for PHP which uses commonly known design patterns like ActiveRecord, Association Data Mapping, Front Controller and MVC.
