 Unrelated to the bug: it looks like you can move this line inside the if
 block:
 {{{
 $db =& ConnectionManager::getDataSource($this->useDbConfig);
 }}}

 This would provide a .00000001% performance boost and negate the
 .00000001% performance hit by adding the is_array() call (as seen in
 patch).
