#6433: GROUP BY support in Containable behaviour -----------------------------------+---------------------------------------- Reporter: eimermusic | Owner: Type: Enhancement | Status: new Priority: Medium | Milestone: 1.3.x.x Component: Components | Version: 1.2 Final Severity: Normal | Resolution: Keywords: containable, group | Php_version: n/a Cake_version: 1.2.3.8166 | -----------------------------------+---------------------------------------- Comment (by eimermusic):
I got a bit further reading through Containable and think I figured out why adding group by support migh not be as simple as letting the 'group' option through... Containable does not use find() operations (as stated in the manual). It re-writes the associations and then lets the Model take care of the rest. So what is needed is to re-write parts of the association-handling so that they can notice a group key in their definition.[[BR]] [[BR]] So, maybe this ticket should be re-named and linked to the model not primarily Containable. -- Ticket URL: <https://trac.cakephp.org/ticket/6433#comment:1> CakePHP : The Rapid Development Framework for PHP <https://trac.cakephp.org/> Cake is a rapid development framework for PHP which uses commonly known design patterns like ActiveRecord, Association Data Mapping, Front Controller and MVC.
