     Type: defect | Status: new
 Priority: normal | Milestone:
Component: Problems with Debian | Version: initng-0.6.0
 Severity: normal | Keywords:
-------------------------------------+--------------------------------------
On my debian sarge I have installed the usb-storage script from
http://wiki.kanotix.net/CoMa.php?CoMa=usb-storage to get in KDE an
automatic icon for plugged usb-devices. The script is located in
 /etc/hotplug/usb/

If I plug in an usb-device after starting the system with sysvinit I find
 in /var/log/messages

May 3 21:20:52 flori kernel: usb 3-5: new high speed USB device using
 address 2

May 3 21:20:52 flori kernel: Attached scsi removable disk sda at scsi0,

 And then the icon appears.

 Using initng /var/log/messages tells me

May 3 20:50:31 flori kernel: usb 3-5: new high speed USB device using
 address 2

May 3 20:50:32 flori kernel: SCSI subsystem initialized

 May 3 20:50:58 flori scsi.agent[4214]: sd_mod: loaded sucessfully

Only a few differences. But with initng no icon appears.
