As discussed on IM, I'm closing this as ''wontfix''.
Reasons:
1. it's more an issue of Doctrine than an issue of Agavi
1. changing the implementation to some "lazy-loading" scheme would mean
that users who use {{{Doctrine::whatever()}}} instead of going through
Agavi to fetch a connection would not be able to configure their
connections through {{{databases.xml}}} as the static calls bypass any
Agavi code
1. the correct approach in this case is to use separate environments for
each of the applications
