I doubt it's a browser bug but I've been known to be wrong before. That
said, however, I don't have a problem putting the content type meta at the
top of the head element. I'm merely pointing the fact that it's working
when I'm putting the good old XHTML Doctype.
I'm using OSX 10.6, Firefox 3.6 and Safari 4.something.
