I need to investigate. IIRC, the "obvious" workaround (passing
{{{$doc->documentElement}}} to {{{saveXml()}}}) leads to the XML prolog
and DOCTYPE being omitted, but I'm not sure.
Of course, you could also just update your PHP ;)
