Willsy, If you get this up and running I will buy an iPhone, or at least an iPod touch (not that you get a commission or anything). The only thing stopping me now is that I use my pda for two main things - contacts and a wikified notepad. So, contacts - check, wikified notepad - none that I can find.
When you have it going please please please post at least a high level overview of the tech you used and some of the hurdles you got over. Thanks! Mario.
