I too am new so hopefully I get this correct.
>From what I can see TiddlyWiki does not determine what font is used in
edit mode, your browser does that. I was able to change the font in
edit mode (using IE6) by going to Tools > Internet Options. Under the
"General" tab there is an options for fonts. In the dialog that opened
from clicking on that option I changed the "Plain text" font, which
changed what font was used in edit mode.
I would assume there are similar options for other browsers that would
have the same effect.
