I have the same issue in Firefox 3 as well. I assumed it was because I am using "CS Lite" for cookie management, since it won't let me set "file://" cookie permissions to "allow" - it keeps them as "session" only. Could this be a bug in Firefox that it does not handle cookies properly for local files?
