This is one way Dave.

.boldLink a {font-weight:bold;}
.unboldlink a {font-weight:normal;}

{{boldLink{<<slider "chkCookieName" "TiddlerName" "titletext"
"tooltip" >>}}}

If you want then you can have normal weight links in the tiddlers
so in the tiddler for slider put {{unboldlink{TiddlerLinks}}};
