TiddlyWiki is... Effectively a personal application development environment to me. I use it as a personal Information Manager, for tasks, projects, account info contacts reference etc... If I come up with a new Idea, I implement it, eg; contact management, such as place a message, message received, sent message, received reply, responded, playing ping pong, delegated or redirected request to someone else - they are all tiddlers and tags in my tiddlywiki.
Add automatic hyper linking and your are smiling all the way to the solution. Yes you could use notepad for that but it would be like building a modern fighter jet out of stone.
