Checkboxs and radio buttons are actually dictated by the user's
browser, but there is a way around it in a standard html page, just
not sure if it will work in TW:
http://brainerror.net/scripts/javascript/checkbox/

Basically it uses an image as the visual of the checkbox.

At the same time, this will get you as close as I could get to
modifiying them in CSS:
#sidebarOptions .sliderPanel input {color: #ff6; background:#000;}
