I've been using TW for maybe a couple years as a research notebook.
Last summer I turned it into a MPTW.
Its reached approximately 1.4 MB. Not too large for a coupole years.
However, I've been noticing it slowing down considerably. This
especially is a problem on tiddlers in which I display large numbers
of taggly tagged tiddlers by selecting "show content". However, just
in general its slower than it used to be.
I'm guessing the problem is that MPTW must search through the entire
text file to do its taggly tagging, and this is getting slow as I add
more tiddlers. Is there any way to speed it up? Some kind of indexing
of the file perhaps?
Other major plugins I have include jsMath (latex formatting), file
drop plugin, select theme plugin, and one that improves my searching.
I'm guessing the slowness comes from MPTW, but I guess it could be any
of those, or some combination. In case its useful, these are the
