Your sequence of steps in option 2 is drag to Firefox BookMarks Toolbar then you say drag the Bookmarklet from TiddlyTools. TiddlyTools is that just an alternative name to ignore or a step you omitted.
I've attempted option 2, there is a hyperlink on http://tiddlytools.com/#InstantBookmarklets that says Firefox Privilege Manager, and when I click on it a window pops up and says "TypeError: this.toolbar is null". Anyway I moved this to my toolbar, and when I click it I still get the error message and there's no security button. If you've nothing more to add for option 2, I will attempt option 1 and report back. Thanks for your help.
